[unbox] is the latest idea from Jane Richardson, the owner of Arteria - the successful award winning gallery and shop in Brock Street, Lancaster which opened 5 years ago and quickly became the finest outlet in Lancaster for design led gifts and contemporary art and crafts.

Managing Director Jane explains why [unbox] has been created:

"Because Lancaster needs it! There are great fashion shops for the design conscious at the younger end of the market, but currently they have to go to Preston or Manchester to buy gifts that hit the mark. We wanted to address that. We thought why should't that sort of shop be on the doorstep? Why not, Lancaster as it is such a creative city with a real youth vibe to it?"

Jane elaborates on what an [unbox] customer should expect:
